Objectives

At the end of this course, the student will be familiar with the official vocabulary of metrology.

The student will distinguish between the origins of systematic and aleatory origins of the measurement errors.

The student will be able to quantify the cumulated uncertainties in any measurement process by applying the methods recommended by the "Bureau International des Poids et Mesures".
