Objectifs
In-depth understanding of the key challenges facing access networks for IoT, including energy efficiency, synchronization, scale, etc.
In-depth understanding of LPWAN and WPAN: two key architectures for connecting objects to the internet.
A critical analysis of the main standardized solutions in the LPWAN/WPAN architectures, including LoRaWAN, Sigox, Bluetooth, etc.
A critical analysis of 5G, its key requirements, architectures and standards.
Compétences visées
Be capable of designing, evaluating and implementing an IoT architecture that meets specific user and/or application requirements.
Be capable of designing, evaluating and implementing access protocols for a specific IoT architecture.
Be capable of designing and analyzing 5G architectures meeting the demands of the three major 5G usage scenarios: Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), ultrareliable low-latency communications (URLLC) and massive machine-type communications (mMTC).
