Architecture and Assembler-programming

The objective of this course is to enable students to:

·         master the simplified operation of a microprocessor

·         understand the operating principle of an operating system.

·         master machine language and assembler

·         produce a simple program in assembler

·         develop a simple microcomputer/system interface

·         master process control by polling

·         understand the general principle of interrupts (sequence breaks)

Mandatory:

·         Combinational and Sequential Logic

·         Sequential System Synthesis

·         Basic Logic Functions (Encoders/Decoders, Multiplexers/Demultiplexers, Counters/Decounters, Registers, etc.)

·         Concept of State Machines

Optional:   Concepts of Algorithms and Programming Languages.
