Sources, reversibility, storage

The objective of the course is to learn about and understand the operating principles of the main sources of electrical energy and energy storage components.

By the end of the course, students will also be familiar with the static and dynamic models of certain electrochemical components: fuel cells and batteries.

·         Understand the operating principles of energy sources and storage devices;

·         Be able to use the appropriate model of a source or storage device depending on the problem being studied;

·         Be able to identify and compare the different wind energy conversion architectures.

With regard to renewable energies, this course introduces students to the different configurations for converting wind energy. Photovoltaic conversion is not covered in this course (it is covered in the second year).
