Objectives
The ‘Introduction to CAD’ design office aims to introduce students to the fundamentals of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) using Autodesk Inventor software.
Description
Students will learn how to design 3D models of complex parts and assemblies, mastering parametric modelling tools and the creation of associated technical drawings. Emphasis will be placed on using the software's features to perform stress, motion and interference simulations to ensure the viability of designs. Students will also learn about model version management, tolerance analysis and manufacturing preparation processes. Finally, through practical projects, they will have the opportunity to apply these skills to real industrial projects, thereby developing their ability to use CAD software professionally and efficiently.
