Objectives
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- identify the origins of coupling
- use the formalism of line theory on single- and multi-conductor cables
- compare different models to describe field-cable coupling
- explain the purpose and functioning of magnetic shielding and electrical shielding
- measure surface impedance and/or transfer impedance with vector network analyzers
Description
This course presents low- and high-frequency electromagnetic compatibility and methods for modeling coupling and shielding issues in electronic systems.
Pre-requisites
